Scratchboard Art is a 2-dimensional, subtractive medium that involves the use of abrasive tools to directly remove a surface layer of one value (typically dark) to expose a secondary layer of a contrasting value (typically white).  The majority of the values within the artwork is achieved by varying the amount of surface layer that has been removed or left.

I hope you enjoy wandering through my work.  The most recent work is at the top and the first ones are at the bottom. I apologize for the quality of some of the images. Some were not photographed until after framing and covered with glass, which has caused some distortion.  I am working to improve them.  This first image is truest to quality.
